Boba Floats!

We are extremely excited to announce a whole new confection here at Lake Effect!

This idea was born standing in the rain in Chinatown, Montreal. My son and daughter always grab a bubble tea from this cool little stand on Rue de la Gauchetière. My son let me try his milk tea with boba and I really enjoyed it, but I felt it needed something. I wanted it to be colder and richer. Then it hit me, what this needed was a scoop of our ice cream. As you all know, I think a scoop of ice cream can really make anything better. In this case, it’s a freaking home run.

After much experimentation and a whole heck of a lot of planning…Our Boba Ice Cream Floats are now here.

We have five floats for you to choose from:

BROWN SUGAR & TEA BOBA FLOAT

- Brown sugar boba and a scoop of London Fog

- Brown sugar and black tea syrup swirled with milk

- Whipped cream with turbinado sugar on top

* I only love my brown sugar and my boba, I'm sorry.

STRAWBERRY BURSTING BOBA FLOAT

- Strawberry bursting boba and a scoop of Strawberries and Cream

- Strawberry puree syrup swirled with milk

- Whipped cream with dried strawberry pieces on top

* Strawberry boba forever.

LOGANBERRY CRYSTAL BOBA FLOAT

- Crystal boba and a scoop of Loganberry

- Loganberry syrup swirled with milk

- “Prince Made Me Pancakes” sprinkles on top

* Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today… for boba.

COFFEE AND CREAM BOBA FLOAT

- Brown sugar boba and a scoop of Revolution Coffee

- Coffee syrup swirled with milk

- Crushed chocolate covered espresso beans on top

* I like my boba with coffee and cream.

MATCHA MILK TEA BOBA FLOAT

- Matcha boba and a scoop of Silver Cloud Vanilla

- Matcha syrup swirled with milk

- Crushed green tea Kit Kat pieces on top

* Keep your matcha close, but your boba closer.
